Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how BrokerMule ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, mobile application, and SMS-based listing alert service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When a realtor registers for an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and payment information. Payment details are processed by our billing provider (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Client information. Realtors may add buyer profiles to the Service, including the buyer's first name, phone number, email, zip code, search radius, price range, minimum bedrooms and bathrooms, property type, and optional preferences. This information is used to find and send matching property listings to the buyer via SMS.

Listing data. We retrieve for-sale property listings from third-party data providers (such as HasData and Zillow) based on the search criteria configured by the realtor. This data is displayed to the buyer and stored in engagement records so the realtor can track buyer activity.

Usage and device data. We automatically collect log data, device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and interaction data (such as which listings a buyer saves or requests a tour for) to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage realtor accounts and billing;
  • Send automated SMS listing alerts to buyers on behalf of the realtor;
  • Track buyer engagement (saves, tour requests, comments) and surface it in the realtor dashboard;
  • Provide a personalized buyer portal accessible via a unique link;
  • Respond to support requests and provide customer service;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse of the Service;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following categories of service providers who help us operate the Service:

  • SMS delivery: Twilio, to send text messages on behalf of realtors to their buyers.
  • Property data: HasData and Zillow, to retrieve for-sale listings matching buyer criteria.
  • Payment processing: Stripe, for subscription billing.
  • Cloud hosting: Our hosting provider stores application data and files.
  • Email: Our email provider delivers transactional and support emails.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.

4. SMS messaging

By adding a buyer's phone number, the realtor represents that they have obtained the buyer's consent to receive SMS listing alerts. Buyers can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Message frequency depends on listing availability and the realtor's configuration. Standard message and data rates may apply. See our SMS Policy for details.

5. Data retention

We retain account and client information for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When a realtor deletes a client profile, associated engagement records and SMS logs are also removed. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure. Listing data from third-party providers is cached only as long as needed to display it in the buyer portal and realtor dashboard.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Realtors can manage client data directly through the Service. To exercise other rights or submit a request, contact us at support@brokermule.com.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
